Spellbound is locally owned and operated by Pete and Libby Chandler who have each accumulated 20 years of experience in cave tourism.

Our aim is to present tours that we would enjoy if we were travelling and holidaying with our children or together.

Our tour is Qualmark-rated, and our guides are experienced and knowledgeable.

Our tours are limited to 12 people on each tour.

Spellbound tours are suitable for people of all ages and average fitness.

Duration is 3-3.5 hours. Tour itinerary may vary according to weather conditions.

Our short walks are an optional part of the tour; a van ride alternative is always available for people who prefer not to walk longer distances.

You will need comfortable walking shoes, a camera, and a jacket (cave temperatures are cool even in summer).

Tours run daily except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and we close for all of June for our annual winter recess. 

A voucher for a half price visit to the Waitomo Museum of Caves is included for every Spellbound customer.
